Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add chopped onions and cook until softened. Drain excess fat.
Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, corn, garlic powder, and half of the shredded cheese. Mix well.
Transfer the beef mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the casserole.
Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, then sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and bake for another 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
For a spicier version, add diced green chilies or a pinch of cayenne pepper to the beef mixture.
