Ingredients
  

Casserole Base

  • 1 lb ground beef browned and drained
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup for creamy texture
  • 1 cup corn kernels fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots for crispy topping
  • 1 tsp garlic powder for extra flavor

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  • In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add chopped onions and cook until softened. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, corn, garlic powder, and half of the shredded cheese. Mix well.
  • Transfer the beef mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  • Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the casserole.
  • Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, then sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and bake for another 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

For a spicier version, add diced green chilies or a pinch of cayenne pepper to the beef mixture.
