Description

Spooky and fun breadsticks shaped like witch’s fingers, perfect for Halloween parties.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 24 whole almonds
  • Red food coloring (optional)


Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water with sugar and let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix flour and salt in a bowl, then add yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Knead dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
  5. Divide dough into 24 pieces and roll each into a finger shape.
  6. Press an almond into one end to create a fingernail.
  7. Use a knife to make knuckle indentations.
  8. Brush with egg wash and bake at 375°F for 15-20 minutes.
  9. Add red food coloring to almond tips if desired.
