Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Add warm milk, melted butter, pumpkin puree, and egg. Mix until dough forms.
  3. Knead dough for 5 minutes until smooth. Let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Combine brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice in a small bowl.
  5. Roll dough into small balls, coat with softened butter, then toss in sugar-spice mix.
  6. Arrange coated dough balls in a greased loaf pan. Let rise for 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
