Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (heat-treated)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Heat-treat the flour by microwaving it for 1 minute or baking at 350°F for 5 minutes. Let it cool.
- Cream the butter and sugars together until smooth.
- Mix in milk and vanilla.
- Stir in heat-treated flour and salt.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for a firmer texture.
Notes
- Do not skip heat-treating the flour to kill bacteria.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
