Description

A festive and easy-to-make appetizer perfect for the holidays. This turkey cranberry crescent ring combines savory turkey, sweet cranberry sauce, and creamy cheese in a flaky crescent roll crust.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 cup cooked turkey, shredded
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles. Arrange them in a circle on the baking sheet with points facing outward and bases slightly overlapping.
  3. In a bowl, mix turkey, cranberry sauce, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions, and black pepper.
  4. Spoon the filling evenly over the wide ends of the dough.
  5. Fold the pointed ends of the dough over the filling, tucking them under the base to form a ring.
  6. Brush the dough with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use leftover turkey or rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • Swap cranberry sauce with fig jam for a different flavor.
  • Add a sprinkle of fresh herbs like rosemary for extra aroma.
