Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.
- Stir in milk, melted butter, vanilla, and pumpkin puree until smooth.
- Fold in chopped pecans.
- Pour batter into a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the batter.
- Carefully pour boiling water over the top without stirring.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until set.
- Let cool slightly before serving.

- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
