Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp cloves
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
- In another bowl, whisk pumpkin puree, milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Spread batter into a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool slightly before serving.

- Use fresh pumpkin puree for best flavor.
- Adjust spices to taste.
- Serve warm with a drizzle of icing if desired.
