Description

A quick and easy one-skillet meal with spicy honey BBQ sausage and pasta. Perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1/2 cup honey BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced sausage and cook for 3 minutes until browned.
  3. Stir in pasta, water, honey BBQ sauce, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
  5. Cover and simmer for 12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove from heat and let sit for 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust red pepper flakes for desired spice level.
  • Use any pasta shape you prefer.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
