Description
A quick and easy one-skillet meal with spicy honey BBQ sausage and pasta. Perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 12 oz smoked sausage, sliced
- 8 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
- 1/2 cup honey BBQ sauce
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced sausage and cook for 3 minutes until browned.
- Stir in pasta, water, honey BBQ sauce, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
- Cover and simmer for 12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and let sit for 2 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Adjust red pepper flakes for desired spice level.
- Use any pasta shape you prefer.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
