Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained
- 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Cook until softened.
- Stir in the kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and beef broth.
- Add the chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- For extra heat, add a diced jalapeño or 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper.
- This chili tastes even better the next day after flavors meld.
