Ingredients
- 200g kataifi pastry
- 100g unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup chopped nuts (pistachios, walnuts, or almonds)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup honey or syrup
- 1 cup whipped cream or custard (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Separate kataifi pastry strands and mix with melted butter.
- Press half the kataifi into a baking dish for the base.
- Sprinkle nuts, sugar, and cinnamon evenly over the base.
- Top with remaining kataifi pastry.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle honey or syrup over the hot pastry.
- Let cool slightly before serving with whipped cream or custard.
