Description
A classic homemade peach cobbler with a sweet, juicy peach filling and a buttery biscuit topping.
Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a saucepan, combine peaches, sugar, water, and cinnamon. Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
- Pour the peach mixture into a baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, milk, and melted butter to form a batter.
- Drop spoonfuls of batter over the peaches.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use ripe peaches for best flavor.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
- Can substitute canned peaches if fresh aren’t available.
