A simple and delicious strawberry mochi recipe that brings a sweet taste of Japan to your kitchen.
Ingredients
- 1 cup glutinous rice flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup cornstarch (for dusting)
- 6 fresh strawberries
- 1/2 cup sweet red bean paste
Instructions
- Wash and dry the strawberries, then set aside.
- Mix glutinous rice flour, sugar, and water in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 2 minutes. Stir, then microwave for another 1 minute.
- Dust a clean surface with cornstarch and transfer the mochi dough onto it.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces.
- Flatten each piece, place a strawberry with red bean paste in the center, and wrap the dough around it.
- Dust with cornstarch to prevent sticking and serve.
Notes
- Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor.
- Adjust sugar to taste.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
