Description
A simple and hearty dish combining kielbasa sausage with fresh green beans, slow-cooked to perfection.
Ingredients
- 1 lb kielbasa sausage, sliced
- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the kielbasa slices for 2-3 minutes per side.
- Transfer the kielbasa to the crockpot.
- Add green beans, diced onion, and minced garlic to the crockpot.
- Pour chicken broth over the ingredients.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.
- Stir before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- You can use frozen green beans if fresh ones aren’t available.
- Serve with crusty bread or over rice.
