Description

A crunchy and flavorful chaat made with foxnuts and pine nuts, perfect for a quick snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup foxnuts (makhana)
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 1 tbsp ghee or oil
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp black salt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp pomegranate seeds (optional)


Instructions

  1. Dry roast foxnuts in a pan until crisp. Set aside.
  2. In the same pan, lightly toast pine nuts until golden. Remove and set aside.
  3. Heat ghee or oil in the pan. Add roasted foxnuts and pine nuts.
  4. Sprinkle chaat masala, red chili powder, cumin powder, and black salt. Toss well.
  5. Drizzle lemon juice and mix evenly.
  6. Garnish with chopped coriander and pomegranate seeds if using.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Store leftover chaat in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • Adjust spice levels to your preference.
  • For extra crunch, roast the nuts until golden brown.
