Description

Creamy Gochujang Udon Noodles combine chewy udon noodles with a spicy, savory, and slightly sweet sauce. The dish is quick to make and packed with flavor.


Ingredients

  • 200g udon noodles
  • 2 tbsp gochujang (Korean red pepper paste)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp butter or vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream or coconut milk
  • 1 green onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cook the udon noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix gochujang, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
  3. Heat butter or oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  4. Add the sauce mixture to the pan and stir for 1 minute.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream or coconut milk and stir until smooth.
  6. Add the cooked noodles and toss until fully coated.
  7. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust gochujang for more or less spice.
  • Use coconut milk for a dairy-free option.
