Description
A creamy and cheesy green bean casserole with a crispy topping, inspired by the flavors of Cheddar Bay biscuits.
Ingredients
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 cans (14.5 oz each) green beans, drained
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup crushed Cheddar Bay biscuit mix (or Ritz crackers for substitute)
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, and black pepper.
- Stir in green beans and 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
- Pour mixture into a greased baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine crushed biscuit mix, melted butter, garlic powder, and remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese.
- Sprinkle topping evenly over the green bean mixture.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
Notes
- For extra crunch, toast the biscuit mix lightly before mixing.
- You can use fresh green beans (steamed) instead of canned.
- Add crispy bacon bits for extra flavor.
