Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Wet Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Optional Add-ins
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment.
- In one bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, mix mashed bananas, sugars, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add dry ingredients to wet and stir until just combined. Fold in nuts or chocolate if using.
- Pour batter into the loaf pan. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
You can freeze slices individually wrapped for quick breakfasts or snacks. Add a little spread of butter for extra indulgence!
