Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (for glaze)
- 2 cups powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tbsp apple cider (for glaze)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a donut pan.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugars until light. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
- Mix in apple cider and buttermilk.
- Fold dry ingredients into wet until just combined.
- Pipe batter into donut pan, filling 3/4 full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden. Cool on a rack.
- For glaze, brown butter in a pan, then whisk with powdered sugar, apple cider, and vanilla.
- Dip cooled donuts in glaze and let set before serving.
